NIGER LAWMAKERS RECONVENE SET TO PASS SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET

Niger state house of assembly lawmakers have reconvened on an emergency sitting 3 weeks after going on recess.
The lawmakers who are on a 6 weeks recess, called on an emergency sitting to able them perform their legislative duty.
The leader of the house, Idris Musa Vatsa, member representing Lapai constituency during the plenary presented A bill for a law to provide for supplementary appropriation, 2023.
The bill passed first and second reading at the floor of the house and was subsiquently referred to house committee on finance for further legislative scrutiny.
