NIGER ASSEMBLY CONFIRMS 30 NOMINEES SENT IN BY THE GOVENOR AS COMMISSIONERS AND MEMBERS OF THE NIGER STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

The Niger State House of Assembly Has Confirmed the 30 Commissioner Nominees transmitted to the House by the Executive Governor of Niger State Rt. Hon. Mohammed Bago.

This was sequel to the report on the Screening of Nominees for Confirmation as Commissioners and Members of the Niger State Executive Council, presented by the Chairman and Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Barr. Abdulmalik Mohammed Sarkin Daji at the floor of the House today.

Barr. Sarkin Daji informed his colleagues that the screening exercise was held between Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th of August, ,2023. He further explained that on the 8th of August, 2023 the following 14 nominees were screened which included Hon. Muazu Hamidu Jantabo , Alhaji Musa Bawa, Hon. Yahaya Ibrahim Gulbin – Boka, Gen. Bello Abdullahi Mohammed Rtd., Barr. Nasiru Muaza , Hon. Phalal Mohammed Bako Alh. Suleiman Umar, Barr. Mourice Magaji, Hon. Abubakar Umar Abule, Dr. Hadiza Asabe Mohammed, Hon. Binta Mamman, Hajiya Titi Auta, Hon. Yakubu Kolo and Dr. Bello Tukur, respectively.

While on Wednesday 9th August, 2023 16 nominees were equally screened which included
Hon. Mustapha Ndajiwo, Hajiya Fatima Adamu, Alh. Yahaya Alhassan Gwagwa, Hon. Ibrahim Mami Ijah, Hon. Mohammed Bashir A. Lokogoma, Hajiya Hadiza Idris Kuta, Hon. Elizabeth Shaba, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Mammagi, Alhaji Garba Sabo Yahaya, Hon. Yabagi Umar, Alhaji Aminu Takuma, Hon. Ahmed Baba Suleiman Yumu, Dr. Ibrahim Dangana, Alhaji Suleiman Isah and Alhaji Sanda Umar respectively.

Barr. Sarkin Daji , said that the nominees possess requisite qualifications to be appointed as Commissioners in addition to their wealth of experience which would be brought to bear in discharge of their assignment.

The report of the committee was unanimously adopted by confirming the 30 nominees as Commissioners and Members of the Niger State Executive Council.
